FAQ

Answers for fleets evaluating LaneOne

Plain language for office staff, drivers, and owners. Still stuck? Email info@laneonehq.com for sales or support@laneonehq.com for customer support.

Getting started

How do we get a LaneOne company account?

Public signup is off. Contact info@laneonehq.com or use the contact form. Platform master creates the fleet, the owner login, and the package caps. The team then signs in at app.LaneOneHQ.com/login.

Is LaneOne installed on every office PC?

No. Office staff use the browser at app.LaneOneHQ.com. Drivers use the driver experience on a phone. Day-to-day work does not need a desktop install.

Do you run our dispatch after we sign in?

No. LaneOne sets the package and the caps. Assigning loads, updating statuses, and handling documents belongs to your team.

What should we send with a quote request?

Approximate truck and driver counts, how many office users need logins, whether you need invoices and settlements, and whether you already have Samsara, Motive, or similar tokens. That is enough to recommend Starter, Growth, Fleet, or Enterprise.

Office and product

What does the dispatch board cover?

The board is the home screen for live trips, statuses, and assignments for your company. The same trip feeds documents, invoices, and settlements when those modules are on the package.

Can we manage drivers and trucks in LaneOne?

Yes. Drivers and equipment live in your company roster, under the user, driver, and truck caps for the package. Other fleets cannot see your people or units.

Where do documents and POD live?

Documents attach to the load and stay under your company’s files. Proof of delivery from drivers lands on that trip. Files are not shared across fleets.

Do invoices and settlements come from the same trips?

When the package includes invoicing and payroll (Growth and above), customer bills and driver settlements are built from trips already on the board.

Drivers

Can drivers update a trip and send POD from a phone?

Yes. Drivers join their fleet with an invite, update trip status, and attach documents to that load. They do not use an office login.

How do drivers get access?

Your company invites them into your fleet only. They cannot open another carrier’s trips or files. If a driver leaves, remove them from the roster.

Will drivers see invoices or settlements?

Driver access covers status and documents on their trips. Office users handle invoices and settlements according to their roles.

Security and privacy

Can one company see another company’s data?

No. Fleets cannot see each other’s trips, drivers, files, or messages. Sessions stay bound to the company on the server, and files open only under that company’s folder.

What can the LaneOne platform see?

Platform master opens fleets and sets packages and caps. It is not a day-to-day browser for another company’s trips, proof of delivery, chat, or GPS history. See the privacy page.

Does LaneOne include Hours of Service or an ELD?

No. Hours of Service is not included on any package. LaneOne does not read an ELD or show a driving clock. Telematics, where the package includes it, is location only.

Who do we contact for privacy requests?

Email support@laneonehq.com. For sales or a new fleet, use info@laneonehq.com.

Packages and caps

What packages does LaneOne offer?

Four packages: Starter (3 users / 10 drivers / 10 trucks), Growth (10 / 50 / 50), Fleet (40 / 250 / 250), and Enterprise (500 / 5,000 / 5,000, and platform can raise them). Modules follow the tier. Details are on Pricing.

Are the caps enforced, or only written in a contract?

Caps are product rules enforced in software for users, drivers, and trucks. If you outgrow a package, ask us to raise the limits or move you to the next tier.

Where are the dollar prices?

From $150 / month flat (CAD, plus HST). 7-day free trial, no card. Contact info@laneonehq.com with fleet size and the modules you need. This site does not publish a rate card, and LaneOne does not publish add-on prices.

What are the 3, 7, and 12 add-on counts?

They are allowances quoted with the package, not a public price. EDI trading partners and ACE / ACI border lanes are 3 on Starter, 7 on Growth, and 12 on Fleet. Enterprise starts at 12, and platform can raise it. Telematics is 1, 2, or 3 pipes, because the catalog is Samsara, Motive, and ORBCOMM.

Integrations

How do Samsara and Motive connect?

Each fleet uses its own API token. The connection stays paused until credentials are saved. LaneOne does not show a connected state for a partner that has not been authenticated with your token.

Which other partners are supported?

Depending on package: QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, Breakthrough Fuel, FourKites, project44, ORBCOMM, BorderConnect, and EDI (204 / 214 / 210). QuickBooks, Samsara, and EDI are on Growth, Fleet, and Enterprise. BorderConnect is on Fleet and Enterprise. Owner credentials still apply. A live call runs only when that partner’s URL is set.

Who saves our API tokens?

A company owner saves the fleet’s own credentials in integrations. Support can help with the steps — email support@laneonehq.com — and the tokens remain yours.
